My Dear Parents, well wishers, friends and My dear most loving pupil,

“Tamso ma jyotirgamaya”, “Lead me to light” are two statements in Sanskrit and in English meaning the same.

The very cultural fabric of our nation had given such noble thoughts of leading oneself from darkness to light by

surrendering oneself at the feet of a Guru (Teacher). The modern educational system is based on this noble thought;

handed over to us by Teachers and Scholars from all over the world. Lord Gautam Budhha is one of the examples of achieving this enlightenment which enabled him to become a great teacher who had ultimate control of himself.

We are privileged to walk by the paths trodden by such great Gurus and Scholars down through the ages. I am proud to say that St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School, Banda, with its excellent existence for last forty five years in the field of education is also trying its best to keep up the expectation of the parent as they confidentially placed their beloved child into the hands of the committed and dedicated teachers who are trying to illumine the heart and mind of your ward by the tradition and the heritage of this great nation.

Congratulations to you dear parent for choosing St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School for the overall development of your ward. I am sure that with your co-operation we can create an environment that will enable your child to grow and become as responsible, disciplined, hard working and law abiding citizen of the country. You will see the changes happening to your ward as he/she grows in Wisdom and Knowledge. Allow him/her to grow with the choice of him/her with free will and not to become a hindrance with what you want him/her to become but guide him/her to grow into the skies with better understanding and responsibility as the students of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Let us work unitedly with one heart and mind, so that we can cherish the dreams of our loving children who are so dear to us and make all possible sacrifices for their well being.

Finally, it is with great satisfaction that I share the most noble thought of Jesus Christ who said that I am the light of the world and welcomed little children with open arms; because to such belong the kingdom of God.
